Basil Brush's Car

Basil Brush's Car, Corgi No. 808, was made in England by Mettoy Playcraft in the year 1971. It measures 9.5 cm long.

The die-cast car, featured in the children's TV show Basil Brush, is red with yellow metal mudguards. It showcases a fox sitting on the car. This particular model is a 1910 Renault diecast car, numbered 9031, with a clear windshield and gold lamp. The bottom of the car is made of yellow metal. This die-cast model car is produced under license by television creators Ivan Owen and Peter Fermin.

Basil Brush aired on the BBC from 1963 to 2007 and remains one of the most popular children's series. It is also one of the longest-running programs on the BBC.

The Corgi Basil Brush diecast car had an impressive sales record, with up to 187,000 units sold during its short two-year production run. However, production of Basil Brush's Car was discontinued in 1973, in contrast to the TV show that has been on the air for over 40 years.See more
