THE JAMES BOND GYROCOPTER BY CORGI IS BEAUTIFUL
In the film, Bond is dispatched to Japan after American and Russian spacecraft disappear mysteriously in orbit. With each nation blaming the other amidst the Cold War, Bond travels secretly to a remote Japanese island for finding the perpetrators and comes face to face with Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the head of SPECTRE. The film reveals the appearance of Blofeld who was previously a partially unseen character.
After its release in 1967, Connery stepped down from the role, leading to the hiring of George Lazenby for 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Connery later returned officially, one last time, in Diamonds Are Forever (1971). You Only Live Twice is the first Bond film to be directed by Lewis Gilbert, who later directed 1977's The Spy Who Loved Me and 1979's Moonraker, both starring Roger Moore.
The heavily armed autogyro "Little Nellie" was included after Ken Adam heard a radio interview with its inventor, RAF Wing Commander Ken Wallis. Wallis piloted his invention, which was equipped with various mock-up armaments by John Stears' special effects team, during production. "Nellie's" battle with helicopters proved to be difficult to film. The scenes were initially shot in Miyazaki, first with takes of the gyrocopter, with more than 85 take-offs, 5 hours of flight and Wallis nearly crashing onto the camera several times. A scene filming the helicopters from above created a major updraft and cameraman John Jordan had his foot severed by the craft's rotor. Filming was interrupted. The concluding shots involved explosions, which the Japanese government did not allow in a national park. So, the crew moved to Torremolinos, Spain, which was found to resemble the Japanese landscape.
BMW Z8(FROM THE DEFINITIVE BOND COLLECTION)

CORGI TOY JAMES BOND's ASTON MARTIN DB5 FROM THE FILM
One of Corgi’s best, and most famous, toys, was the James Bond’s Aston Martin. Corgi used their existing Aston Martin DB4, first produced in 1964, as the basis for the model and tired to pack in as many features and devices as possible to emulate those in the Aston Martin DB5 used in the 1964 James Bond film, “Goldfinger”.
Among the main features were: a front machine gun, rear bullet-proof shield, an operating ejector seat. Corgi engineers devised a special test rig to operate the ejector seat to ensure that it would function faultlessly. Their rest was success and the toy was launched in November 1965 and was a acclaimed as the “Toy of the Year” by the National Association of Toy Retailers.
In its original three-year production run, the James Bond Aston Martin became one of the most popular toys ever made, with nearly three million sold. Although the car is illustrated in silver on the packaging, the toy was initially painted gold in order to underline its “premium quality” status.
The rarest version of the James Bond Aston Martin is a revised 1968 model which was slightly larger and painted in silver. It also had extra features: rotating number plates and even telescopic tyre slashers. It is worth three times as much as the gold version.

JAMES BOND LOTUS ESPRIT OUTSTANDING CAR FROM CORGI
The Spy Who Loved Me, released in 1977, is the 10th film in the James Bond series and the third to star Roger Moore as MI6 agent James Bond. It was directed by Lewis Gilbert and the screenplay was written by Christopher Wood and Richard Maibaum. The film takes its title from the tenth novel in Ian Fleming's James Bond series. Following a request by Ian Fleming when he sold the rights to the series that only the title of the novel be used, it is the first Bond film to be written with a wholly original plot line in its screenplay. The storyline involves a reclusive megalomaniac named Stromberg who plans to destroy the world and create a new civilization under the sea. Bond teams up with a Russian agent Anya Amasova to stop Stromberg.
Throughout the James Bond series of films Q Branch has given Bond a wide variety of vehicles with which to battle his enemies. Among the most noteworthy gadgets Bond has been equipped with have been various vehicles that have numerous modifications to include weapons systems, anti-pursuit systems, alternate transportation modes, and various other functions.
This is actual white Esprit S1 used in the famous chase sequence in The Spy Who Loved Me. It evades the lovely Caroline Munro in her helicopter by driving off a pier and then converting into a submarine, complete with mines and rockets to get rid of any unwanted attention. This is a very early car and was purchased directly from Lotus Cars in 1998
The Lotus Esprit and its underwater exploits are second only to the DB5 in the Bond car hall of fame. To escape a rocket-equipped helicopter Bond (now played for laughs by the bouffant-ed Roger Moore) drives the Esprit off a pier into the sea, where it transforms into a submarine at the flick of a switch and blows up the helicopter with its own rockets. More underwater action ensues, until Bond emerges victorious on a beach full of holidaymakers. Six cars were used to film this sequence, one of which was a working submarine with two divers
