YAT MING 1/18 - 1948 FORD F-1 PICK UP TRUCK WITH FLATBED COVER

This is a good model. Very wellmade. But could have had a little more attention to detail done on the engine. The tailgate, doors, hood all open. And the steering works. But the Engine detail is really lacking. Would be a good starter model. For some one just getting into the hobby. The Interior is well detailed. And the Tanua cover can be removed or left on the model. Which ever you prefer.
Is a nice shelf model? And could have been made a lot better. If a little more attention to detail was paid to the engine. like Fan belts. Sparkplug wires. Batterie cables. All of which are not present under the hood. --Thomas A. Goodwin  Shop here

YAT MING 1/18 1956 CHEVROLET BELAIR

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Diecast Model 1/18 Convertible Yellow Die Cast Car by Yat Ming

Take your mind back to the fabulous '50s. Remember those classic convertibles in cool colors like orange and turquoise? Here's the '56 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible you (or your dad) might have longed for, re-created in die-cast metal. The doors, hood, and trunk all open, and the steering wheel actually turns the front wheels. This yellow and white classic dream car is 11 inches long from the jet-shaped hood ornament to the taillights in the fins. It comes with a black display stand with the car's name in gold. Makes a great gift for anyone who graduated in 1956, or collectors of any age. --Marcie Bovetz

YAT MING 1:18 - 1932 FORD 3-WINDOW COUPE

Return to the era of gangsters and rumble seats in this 1:18 scale model of a 1932 Ford coupe. The doors open (with hinges at the back, not the front), the rumble seat pops up for those quick getaways down Chicago back alleys, and the hinged sides of the engine cowling lift up for engine inspection. Whitewall tires and lots of gold trim jazz up the black exterior. The die-cast metal body is extremely solid, although the plastic accessories, such as turn indicators and headlight assembly, could easily be broken by a small child with an aggressive driving style. --Richard Farr  Shop here

ROAD SIGNATURE 1/18 - 1941 PLYMOUTH CUSTOM PURPLE

The 1941 Willys 'America' Coupe was intended to be a low-cost 'people's car' but World War II didn't give it chance. After the war, its clean, uncluttered good looks, light weight, and a adaptability to a wide variety of V-8 engines made it a favorite with drag racers and it's now a popular street rod subject. It's also one of the first rods. The body is stock and Road Signature has modeled its line and proportions very accurately. In true hot rod fashion, all the chrome trim except the characteristic Willys toothy grille has been removed. The basic black paint is glossy, with some orange peel, and is set off by neatly printed flames. Oversize chrome wheels, low-profile rubber, and disk breakes at all four corners identify it as a modern street rod, as does the interior with its fully instrumented console and multiple speakers in the door panels. Under the hood, the Chrysler Hemi V-8 engine is wiered and plumbed, although the plug wires are pretty thick. More evidence of contemporary construction can be seen in the fuel aell and nitrous oxide bottle in the trunk. Wheelbase checks out to the listed 1:18 scale too. Shop here

YAT MING 1/18 1962 OLDSMOBILE STARFIRE DIECAST MODEL

Late in the 1961 model year, Oldsmobile introduced the Starfire convertible as their personal luxury car. Sales and interest were enough that for 1962 Starfire became its own model line with the edition of the Holiday coupe. This hardtop became one of Oldsmobile's best selling models with 34,839 produced, compare to only 7,149 convertibles.

With its feature-light steering, pillow-soft ride and leather upholstery it had the luxury as advertised. Dual exhausts and a 4-barrel Rochester carburetor made the 345hp. V-8 a rocket launcher. And the brushed aluminum side trim didn't hurt either. In all, the Starfire helped Oldsmobile to its best year since 1956.

1924 STUTZ MODEL C FIRE ENGINE

Despite the difficult economic times, the 1920's and 1930's are referred to as the “Golden Age of Fire Engines”. Dozens of companies, both local and national, competed for business as cities finally phased out the horse-drawn pumpers of the 19th century. Cities and buildings were bigger and needed the speed and pumping power mechanized engines could provide.

Stutz, represented by the 1924 Model C, only lasted from 1919 to 1924. Despite a perfect score on a 12-hour test at the national fire chief's convention, only 302 were built.

1924 Stutz Model C fire truck is an 11.25"Lx 3.5"Wx 3.75"H die cast metal car with openable hood, free wheels, workable steering, highly detailed engine and components. With old fashioned ladders, extinguisher, other tools. Also comes with a 24K gold plated fire engine coin. This 1924 Stutz Model C fire truck is manufactured by Yat Ming; ref. no. 20198 in RED color. Individually packed in a window box WB. Box is 15"Wx 6.25"Wx 6.5"H. Buy it now

CHEVROLET NOMAD - BLUE & WHITE

The American Chevrolet Nomad of 1957 is a car that sums up an era. The Chevrolet Nomad was a station wagon model produced by the Chevrolet Division of General Motors. The Nomad is best remembered in its two-door 1955-57 form, and was considered a halo model during its three-year production as a two-door station wagon. Yat Ming's release in blue and white sums up the charms of a car you could get the kitchen sink in and drive huge distances. The chrome work is really nicely done, particularly the dramatic rear wings. Inside the seats and dash are again very good. See more

YAT MING 1/18 SHELBY COBRA 427 S/C DIECAST MODEL

1964 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C Diecast Model Red 1/18 Die Cast Car By Yat Ming

I started out with an idea to build a sports car powered by an American V8 at a time when most European sports cars were being imported with four-cylinder 1918 taxi cab engines.I went to AC Cars, because they had an available chassis, and i went to see Lee laccoca at Ford for a little money and a couple of engines to help me get started. We never dreamed we'd build a car to win the world championship and everything else, or become the legend it has.The Cobra has become the most replicated car there has ever been.I think that says it all right there. --Carroll Shelby

Shelby Cobra 427 S/C finished in red metal with twin white stripes from front to back. Many chromed parts, detailed interior, opening doors, bonnet and boot, detailed engine , moveable chromed wheels with treaded tyres, model length approx 21cm.

CLASSIC IMPERIAL CONVERTIBLE

1961 Chrysler Imperial Crown Diecast Model White 1/18 Die Cast Car By Yat Ming

Classic Imperial ConvertibleChrysler revived the Imperial as a separate marque (not ‘Chrysler Imperial’) in 1960 with new unibody construction and gave it new cutaway front fenders, a shorter grille centered under an extended hood, and unique free standing headlights for 1961. Yat Ming has modeled all these features very accurately for their new 1961 Imperial Convertible. Its big diecast body is smooth and clean and the glossy ‘Alaskan White’ finish matches my paint chips very well. There’s a lot of chrome on a ’61 Imperial, and except for the printed Imperial scripts Yat Ming has reproduced every piece, even the thin fin caps, with separate chrome-plated parts. The big 413 cid-V-8 is wired and plumbed, though the plug wires are a couple of scale inches thick and the alternator is supported only by its drive belt. The interior makes up for that, though, with properly hinged doors, windows that slide up and down, and soft gray carpet on the floor. The split front seat folds forward on an angle just like the real car, the rear armrest folds away, and photos dhow the dash details are accurate, though the smaller gauges aren’t detailed. Overall lines match photos in the June 2005 ‘Collectible Automobile’ from all angles and dimensions are a consistent 1:18 scale.
