BRUMM 1/43 FIAT 600D MULTIPLA AUTOMOBIL CLUB MODENA 1956
The Fiat 600D Multipla has a heavy metal base, giving the model quite a weighty feel. The decoration is pretty good for the scale but the line between the duo colour could be a touch neater.
The Multipa (one of the original people carries) is finished in the Automobile Club of Modena colours and carries a roof mounted badge and rack. The orange and blue livery is quite stunning and should find a very welcome place in any model road service vehicle collections. Shop here

VITESSE 1/43 FIAT CINQUECENTO
A new casting from Vitesse is the Fiat Cinquecento, a pleasingly detailed model that captures the look of the vehicle, and has some good touches such as the interior detail (note the trim on the doors and seats) As one has come to expect these days, the glazing is flush, the lamps are plastic, the windscreen and rear window wipers are separate fittings, and there is good detailing. The pity is that the number plates are stickers, which, unless positioned carefully, can slightly detract from the final look of the model. Shop here

BRUMM 1/43 FIAT 600D MULTIPLA 'RAI'
Introduction in 1955 it was produced until 1964. With a total length of 139ins (345cm) it had three rows of seats to accommodate six people. Powered by the Fiat the Fiat 600 saloon engine of 633cc, the little bus would happily do 50 mph and give 45 mpg. The rear-mountd engine meant luggage space was limited but the seats did not fold down. Used as taxis in their native Italy, the fully independently sprung minibus was original people carrier back in the mid 1950s, an idea that has been taken up by the Japanese car manufactures of today. BRUMM 1/43 FIAT 600 ABARTH 750 MILLE MIGLIA
The model from Brumm is always accurate, very finely detailed, and well decorated. Among a number of recent releases is the Fiat Abarth, the 750 version as driven at Mille Miglia in 1955, and the 850TC from 1962. It is the attention to detail, sometimes very small detail, that makes these models special. Shop here

BRUMM 1/43 FIAT 508 'EIAR'
This is the Fiat 508C EIAR (Ente Italiano Audizioni Radiofoniche) of 1948. Once again a fairly basic car, but also again very well modelled. The casting is very thin, so although the glazing is not flush, it gives the appearance of being so. As always the general level of finish is to a high standard. Buy it now
