Although a Police Jaguar may seem extravagant, when the Ayrshire Police force enlisted OCS 359H in 1970 it was a practical solution to a problem. William Lyon’s cars had always been remarkable value for money and were among the fastest and best handling vehicles around, so as a high-speed Traffic Division cars they were perfect.
