VANGUARDS 1/43 FORD CORTINA MKI GT ROGER CLARK 1965 SCOTTISH RALLY

A young Roger Clark was starting to make a name in the rally world, while driving a white Ford Cortina MkI GT he had prepared at his family's Ford dealership. After winning the Scottish Rally in 1964, the basically standard white bodyshell was starting to literally fall apart and by then the young talented Roger Clark was able to secure a full-strength 'works' bodyshell in Red. The car was built up using many parts from the old car and so was able to retain it's 2ANR registration that it carried on the white car and before that on his original Mini Cooper.

This car is modelled as it was when Roger Clark and his regular co-driver Jim Porter, won the 1965 Scottish Rally, then three weeks later he used the same car to win the Gulf London Rally. Shop here
