NOREV 1/43 RENAULT MASCOTT VAN

The Renault Mascott vans seem to have been well received and the accuracy of fit and finish are all you could expect. The latest addition to this 1/43rd range is a chassis cab with box van back whhich is typically finished in plan brown.

The rear doors of the van body are hinged to open and are surprisingly thin and real looking with none of the over scale toy like hinges we had become accustomed to on 'toy' vans with opening rear door. Shop here

VANGUARDS 1/43 FORD ANGLIA VAN - BRITISH RAILWAYS

In the days when it was one Nationalised Railway system, British Rail offered a parcel delivery service to your door from their nearest station, and used small vans such as the Anglia 105E based van modeled here. The 105E car was launched in 1959 with the van versions following in 1961, available as 5cwt or 7cwt models, the later having chromed headlight peaks and bumpers whilst the 5's were painted. Features precisely matched livery, badging and jeweled headlights. Shop here

MATCHBOX REGULAR WHEEL NO.54B CADILLAC AMBULANCE

The release of the Faun was accompanied by a white S&S Cadillac Ambulance (54b). This had red cross decals, which were later replaced by labels in two sizes, blue-tinted windows and red roof lights, as well as a detailed white interior and suspension.

The base was originally flat over the rear axle but this was quickly changed to a raised panel over the rear axle. There were no other casting changes and the model survived into the Superfast era.--Model Collector

VANGUARDS 1/43 FORD ANGLIA 105E - 1959 RAC RALLY, LADIES TROPHY WINNER, ANNE HALL AND PATSY BURT

The 1959 RAC rally was the first year of Jack Kemsley’s time in charge. He increased the emphasis on special stages and moved the date to November, which resulted in a tougher event badly affected by blizzard conditions in Scotland. Although famously won by Burgess/Croft-Pearson Ford Zephyr Mk2, the event also marked the international rally debut of Ford’s Anglia 105E. Of the four Anglia’s entered, the highest placed, was the car modelled here, in which Ann Hall and Patsy Burt won the Ladies Prize and finished 20th overall, a remarkable performance for a car of only 997cc.  Shop here

It was then used by M&S for over a year before being given away in a competition. It is now owned by a Mini enthusiast who exhibits the car at shows.Shop here
