MINICHAMPS 1/18 FORD CAPRI

This Minichamps Ford Capri is good outside, and great inside. The model itself is pretty good, with superb radiator and side grilles, individual, coloured glazed lights, tiny badging and other nice touches.

But it's the interior that is truly remarkable. That stylish Capri steering wheel, the wood grain dash used on top Capris, brilliant continental armrest door pulls, chrome-effect door handles and ribbed panelling for the door sides, and on the seats, all combine transport you straight back to the days when a Capri was a desirable car. This is one of the new Minichamps range of classic British cars and is right-hand drive. Shop here

SCHUCO 1/43 MAN 10.210 TRUCK

MAN traces its origins back to 1758, when the St. Antony ironworks commenced operation in Oberhausen, Germany, the first heavy-industry in the Ruhr region. In 1908 after a number of acquisitions, the company was renamed Maschinenfabrik Augsburg Nurnberg AG, or MAN. The corporate predecessors of MAN were responsible for numerous technological innovations, including cooperation in the development of the diesel engine. By 1924, the company showed its first diesel truck at the Berlin Motor Show. After WWII, MAN shifted focus to commercial vehicles and became famous for its line of trucks, from delivery vans to heavy-hauling over-the-road rigs. See more

R189 is Fangio's car, number 112, from the 1955 Targa Florio, while R190 is the 300SLR which with Stirling Moss, with navigator Dennis Jenkinson, scored his famous victory in the Mille Miglia, one of only two occassions that a non-Italian car won the 1,000 mile road race. This model has a double fairing for driver and navigator. Brumm later introduced a limited edition model of the 1955 Targa Florio-winning machine of Collins and Moss (no.S034).
