DINKY TOYS

Dinky toys, produced from 1933 to 1980, have become popular collectibles today. This book, now in its sixth edition, offers concise history, detailed listing of major variations, chronological list, and newly updated price guide. It includes all the Dinky toys made in Britain, France, Spain, and other parts of world, from the earliest model railroad accessories to the first cars that bear the name Dinky Toys.

"This is a very handsome and useful book, in which all models made by Dinky Toys, even from Hong Kong ,are displayed in color. With exception of the airplanes and some of the extraordinary sets, the models are not photographed in detail. Much information about the models is not given (in my opinion not necessary). At the end, prices are given, but these will certainly vary depending on the state of the model and the availability of an original box. The format of the book is such, that it is very easy to take it with you in your pocket." (Reviewed by Customer) Buy Now.

LESNEY'S MATCHBOX TOY : REGULAR WHEELS

A new and most informative book for Matchbox collectors by one of America's foremost authorities. Matchbox toys are possibly the most popular collectible in America. People who grew up with die cast cars as children tend to love the toys as adults. The old toys have become scarce and variations of newer toys continue to fuel a popular passion "own each one." Enthusiasts collect not only the toys, but catalogs, collector buttons, and boxes. Pictures and text cover the major variations of the most popular series of die cast cars made by Lesney Products from 1947 to mid-1969. Included is a revised price guide and a list of organized clubs for collectors.

"I have the Superfast Years book and found it excellent, and now I bought the Regular Wheels years, I think this book it a big help for collector that are starting their first moves about collecting Matchbox toys. The price guide is accurate and there are photos of models includin King Size series, Grey wheels and Special sets. Of course, there are another books from this author that includes mores and better detailed photos, but this is perfect book for the first steps." (Reviewed by Casaza Pablo Ezequiet "book analyst")

EXCELLENT RESOURCE FOR JOHNNY LIGHTNING COLLECTORS

This book is an excellent resource for all Johnny Lightning collectors, experienced and novice. It provides much information on the history of JL and many of the nuances of collecting, manufacturing, etc. There are great color photos of many cars. Price ranges are also included as well as how to rate the condition of the cars. The only drawback I can see is there is little to no info on many of the newer cars/sets. The index is also somewhat difficult to follow, especially if you don't know what year the car was manufactured. Perhaps this will be included in the next edition? Overall, I highly recommend this book to anybody interested in Johnny Lightning collecting! (Reviewed by Gerry Bowman) See more.

A VALUABLE RESOURCE FOR THE CORGI COLLECTOR

Hop in for a complete tour of the tiny world this British toy maker created. Explore four decades of diecast production, following the route the industry took as it shed outdated techniques for state-of-the-art cars James Bond would have been proud of. Written from the unique perspective of an American collector, the book presents topics never before discussed in print, chronicling the rise, fall, and rebirth of Corgi Toys, all illustrated with hundreds of color photos of models and memorabilia never before seen in print. The smaller Husky and Corgi Juniors lines, often neglected in other books, are also covered. Other sections examine Corgi clubs, marketing, packaging, memorabilia, and special interest groupings. Most importantly, this encylopedia presents the most complete variation listing and value guide published to date, including sections covering Corgi, Husky, and Juniors models from their introduction through the present day.

"This is a wonderful guide for anyone who is into collecting Corgi toys. I especially enjoyed the value guide in the back even though this book was published 10 years ago.My only disappointment was that the author didn't put more information about the "Character" cars which I am so fond of collecting.
