Type 51 was the pinnacle of designer Ettore Bugatti’s racing career. In 1931 the type won four premier races. Works drivers included Chiron and Varzi. 31 type 51’s were built. Several works cars being sold later. Our subject went to A.H. Lindsay Eccles, then to Kenneth Bear. 2292cc 8-cylinder – 170 bph – 135 mph.

In 1957 the Formular I World Championship was Maserati’s with their legendary team of three “Lightweight” 250Fs. Juan Fangio won four GP’s and his fifth and final World Championship in these cars with a win at Monaco. Engine: 2493 cc 6-cylinder – 270 bhp – 165 mph.

MORTORCYCLE & SIDECAR

There are only three styles of side container of motorcycle in a three styles of sidecar in a period of Regular Wheels.
We seldom see the die-casting motorcycle side container car in the marketing die-cast. Even though, Matchbox is one of the big producers of die-cast in the world. It has produced 3 styles only in a period of early to the era of Regular Wheels during 1948-1968. These sidecars are as follows:

No. 4C Triumph Motorcycle & Sidecar was produced in 1960 with three colors, a hardly to find one is metallic bronze. It is 5.4 cm. long.
No.36B Lambretta Scooter & Sidecar was produced in 1961 with two colors that is metallic pale green & dark green. It is 5 cm. long.
No.66B Harley Davidson Motorcycle & Sidecar was produced in 1962. It is only one car that is metallic bronze. It is 6.4 cm. long. All of them were produced in England. At present they are in good condition. Especially, on the above mentioned, No.4C, metallic bronze is scarcely to find.

THE ONLY ONE OF CANNON IN MATCHBOX

From a period of early Lesney into the era of Superfast (series 75) up to the present (Year 1948-to the present time) Matchbox produced only one style of Cannon No.32C in 1978 with 2 colors. It is olive and green colors with two wheels. The green colors are a style of scarcely finding. Bullet is included and it is able to fire with a system of spring. Regulated firing by a manual system.

CORGI - AA MINI VAN

Die-cast Corgi No.06002 – AA Mini Van, it was produced by Corgi Classic Ltd. In China, 1998. It is 7.8 cm. long.

This die-cast AA Mini Van was produced by a license from Austin Mini and Automobile Assosiation (AA) dark yellow body, silver handle of the black door, clear windows, black interior, removable tire, “Patrol Service” tempa. The underneath is metal, casting bulge as an engine and exhausted pipe.

The Automobile Association (AA), founded in 1905, is a theme chosen by many collectors. The first aiming that time is to help its member who was arrested by police for driving over the speed limit. Later on, it had expanded more activities such as in 1908 arranging hand books for members including a representative branch with the names of the auto repaired workers. In 1914 it had 83,000 members until 1939 the member had increased to be 725,000 members. Several of toy ranges included the AA Patrol or Scout on his motorcycle with side car, plus the AA telephone boxes, while vans as used by the organization have been offered in the familiar yellow livery. Perhaps the most interesting, however, was produced by Budgie Toys, of an AA Mobile Control Office.
