1/24 AHRENS FOX NS4 1925 FIRE ENGINE

Ahrens-Fox Fire Engine Company built over 1500 fire engines between 1911 and 1977. The roots of the company go back to the 1850s under different names. In 1975, the Ahrens Manufacturing Company got it start. In 1891 Ahrens merged with three other manufacturers to become the American Fire Engine Company which in 1903 merged with International Fire Engine Company to become the American LaFrance Fire Engine Company. Ahrens Mfg. broke from American LaFrance in 1904 and in 1910 became the Ahrens-Fox Fire Engine Company. Ahrens Fox was recognized as the 'Rolls Royce" of fire trucks, reflecting not only its expense but also it quality. Many Ahrens Fox pumpers are still operational today.

It also comes with 24K Gold Plated Coin of Authenticity. It is very smart model of this fire engine finished in red/brown with gold lining, moveable spoked wheels, numerous chromed parts, 2 ladders, moveable spotlight , approx 29cm long. Buy it now.

1938 FORD FIRE ENGINE

Ford created this sturdy little pumper for the Georgetown Engine Company No. 1 using its one-ton truck chassis. The grille, fenders and headlights were redesigned for 1938, and behind that barrel-shaped, oval grille was Ford’s rugged flathead V-8. The 221-cubic inch, 85-horsepower, 24 stud-per-head (also new for ‘38) powerplant was up to the task of motivating the little workhorse. The introduction of the new chassis was popular with firefighters, for it allowed them to carry more gear, more conveniently—just the ticket for the heroic job they had to perform.

Painted in bright red with superb applied graphics and pinstripes, the windscreen wiper is a separate part, the searchlight swivels and pivots, and, on the right side, a rotating, emergency light assembly, with three red lights. A chromed, red light/siren unit is mounted on the hood. In the driver’s area you get a 3-D dash, and nicely scaled steering wheel, pedals etc, and brake levers. The seat’s moulded in soft-touch plastic, behind the driver, there’s a hose reel with a length of hose that rolls off. On the left side, there are two sections of hose (non-removable) in mounting brackets. There’s also a rear-mounted hose reel, with nozzle. The rest of the hoses, located above this reel, are of the moulded-in variety, made to look as if yards of it have been folded there for ready access. There’s a separate, chromed nozzle on one end of this hose assembly to provide a touch more realism. In the rear, you’ll also find two, chromed work lights, and mounted on either side of the handrails, above the hose deck. Various gauges, and levers, and tools (non-removable) are also mounted on this truck, along with nozzles, two lanterns, and two fire extinguishers. Buy it now.

'QUICK FIX' - 1:24 SCALE PRESIDENTIAL LINCOLN

After the assassination of President of President Kennedy the Lincoln ‘X-100’ Parade Car was returned to Hess & Eisenhardt for a ‘quick fix’. After six months it emerged with a ton of additional armour that included a permanently attached bulletproof glass top, ‘run flat’ aluminum disks inside the tires, and much more. In the process it was updated with a 1964 grille and painted black instead of the original dark blue, and it went on to serve four more presidents. Yat Ming has added this very accurate 1:24 scale model of the ‘Quick Fix’X-100 to their Presidential Series of diecast models. Its muti-piece body is clean and smooth, but the glossy black paint does have some orange peel. Photos show that the model is fully detailed; small badges are hot printed but all the rest of the trim – and there’s lots of it – is done with separate chromed parts. The big V-8 is modeled well, but there’s no wiring or plumbing. The interior makes up for that, though, with soft carpets, two-tone upholstery with wood-grain panels and chrome trim, a fully detailed dash with legible instruments, and fold-away jump seats. --SMI Februaey 2007 See more.

THE LAST ADVENTURE; 1961 DESOTO

DeSoTo ended production only 47 day after the 1961 line, which consisted of only two-and four-door Adventure models, was introduced. Although DeSoTo, like all the Chrysler marques, had been re-styled in 1960, the short lived ’61 models got a new, more attractive horizontal grille, canted headlights, a ‘shoulder’ at the leading edge of the big fins, and new taillights. There are no mould lines in spite of the complex shape and the script logos and wheel arch moldings are hot-printed, but accurate 361 cid V-8 is wired and the accessories are neatly done and the interior is impressive, with authentic three-tone upholstery, separate chromed handles, nicely detailed dashboard and a legible speedometer. Very few 1961 DeSoTo Adventures were built but Yat Ming’s model has all the ’61 details, including the revised fin, exactly right. ~SMI April 2007 See more.

1979 POINTAC FIREBIRD TRANS-AM

The Pontiac Firebird was built by the Pontiac division of General Motors between 1967 and 2002. The Firebird was introduced the same year as its platform-sharing cousin, the Chevrolet Camaro. This coincided with the release of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, which shared its platform with another pony car.

The vehicles were, for the most part, powered by various V8 engines of different GM divisions. While primarily Pontiac-powered until 1977, Firebirds were built with several different engines from nearly every GM division until 1982 when all Pontiac engines were dropped in favor of corporate units.

The Pontiac Trans Am, was named for the series. Interestingly, according to SCCA archives, the car which is named for the racing series has only taken 7 wins in the 42 year old series 446 events. The last win by a Pontiac Trans Am was in 1984.

This is a very highly detailed 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am diecast model car 1:18 scale die cast by Yat Ming, opening doors and hood, mounted on plastic stand. See more.

"Excellent product. I collect 1:18 cars (collection of 70+, all brands and makes) and this is one of the two or three best ones I have. And the others cost 90 or 100 dollars apiece. AN ABSOLUTE STEAL!!!! Better quality than many AutoArt I own that cost 3 or 4 times as much! The windows go up and down, the sun visors flip, the rear center armrest flips down, the front seats flip, the antenna goes up and down. All of this with a thick (for a model car) carpet, amazing detail, and real hinges on the hood (not arms). Compare at other sites for up to 3 times the cost, and this car is an all-around steal. 2001 CADILLAC DEVILLE PRESIDENTIAL LIMO

The DeVille (also De Ville and de Ville) name has been used on many of Cadillac's luxury car models. After the Fleetwood was dropped from the Cadillac lineup the DeVille became the largest Cadillac sedan. The DeVille name was replaced by DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan) for the 2006 model year.

The name "DeVille" ("of the city" or "town" in French) derives its name from its town car body, which featured an open chauffeur's compartment and enclosed passenger compartment. The term "Town Car" was used by Lincoln in 1922 to describe a one-off vehicle built for Henry Ford.

The first Cadillac to bear the name was the 1949 Coupe De Ville, with a 4-door hardtop version appearing in 1956 (a one-off Sedan de Ville was built in 1954). Both cars were based on the Series 62. Beginning in 1965, DeVille denoted Cadillac's mainstream model, falling between the Calais and the Fleetwood.

For 1968, the DeVille gained slight exterior changes to comply with new federal safety and emissions legislation, and as with the rest of the Cadillac line up, a new 472 in³ (7.7 L) V8 engine rated at 375 hp.

In November 1971, a showroom-stock 1971 Coupe DeVille placed third in the annual coast-to-coast Cannonball Run, posting the highest average speed of the event, 84.6 mph (136.2 km/h) (excluding stops) and averaging 8.9 mpg-US (26 L/100 km/10.7 mpg-imp).

DeVilles have always been a notable car throughout history and have been used countless times by politicians, spiritual leaders, and are notable in many movies.

As of 2008, the 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood at the Clinton Presidential Center is the final presidential vehicle to be placed on public display. Plans call for the Secret Service to use future vehicles for security testing that may result in their destruction.

A 2001 Cadillac DeVille limousine was delivered to the Bush Administration and was replaced by the current 2006 Cadillac DTS.

1/18 - 1970 AMC REBEL MACHINE

Muscle from an Unexpected Source 1970 AMC Rebel ôThe Machineö A One-Year Wonder By 1970 AMC was trying whatever it could to compete with the Big 3 of Ford, GM and Chrysler. After experimenting for a couple of years with muscle cars, they hired Hurst Products to develop what became ôThe Machineö. Part of AMC's mid-sized, mid-priced Rebel line, ôThe Machineö was built for speed. The 340hp. 4-barrel V-8 with a Hurst 4-speed gearbox was lightning quick off the line. Other standard features included high back bucket seats, functional Ram-Air hood scoop and dual exhausts. Precision Engineered to Original Specifications AMC introduced ôThe Machineö at the NHRA 1969 World Championships. Although they played down its speed, it had a lot of engine for a mid-sized car and easily held its own against the bigger name muscle cars of that era. Of the 1936 produced for $3475, the first 1000 were made in this special white with blue and red trim color scheme. After that you could order it in any of the Rebel colors. See more.

I do not usually review item's I buy on Amazon yet I am so pleased with the quality and detail of this product, I just had to rave. I have been collecting die cast models from the Franklin and the Danbury mint's for the past 20 years. I first purchased an inexpensive fire truck for my son. He loved and appreciated it so much, I became interested. I examined it and was quite impressed. I bought him 3 others. I than ordered the entire presidential series after I bought the model of Kennedy's blue Lincoln. The paint finish is unmatched. The detail and molding is hard to believe. No details were missed! Even small presidential seals adhered to the inside back doors. There is even carpeting on the floor boards and trunk! It is much better quality than the mint's for a 3rd of the price. Try it, you'll be hooked. - Timothy P. Madrid "Timitzer"-CA
