Released in the ever popular, and collectable in its own right, Eddie Stobart livery, this model features a raising and tilting mast. Despite the industry's standard of 1825th scale for forklift trucks, this is a nice addition to squeeze into the collection. shop here

MATCHBOX - MERCEDES UNIMOG

The most recognizable model of the Mercedes Unimog is the small-scale model produced by Lesney Matchbox in 1967 as catalogue number 49. The Matchbox Unimog was a popular toy and thus continued production into the 1970s as a Superfast model. The Matchbox Unimog was released in two main variations, one model had a blue cab and bed and red chassis and the other had a tan body and turquoise chassis. Both models are relatively easy to find but I believe the tan models is slightly scarcer.--Model Collector

SCHUCO 1/43 MAN 10.210 TRUCK

MAN traces its origins back to 1758, when the St. Antony ironworks commenced operation in Oberhausen, Germany, the first heavy-industry in the Ruhr region. In 1908 after a number of acquisitions, the company was renamed Maschinenfabrik Augsburg Nurnberg AG, or MAN. The corporate predecessors of MAN were responsible for numerous technological innovations, including cooperation in the development of the diesel engine. By 1924, the company showed its first diesel truck at the Berlin Motor Show. After WWII, MAN shifted focus to commercial vehicles and became famous for its line of trucks, from delivery vans to heavy-hauling over-the-road rigs. See more

ERTL 1/25 1946 DODGE POWER WAGON WRECKER HAVOLINE MOTOR OIL

After WWII, GIs returning home wrote to Dodge and asked, "Where can we get a truck like the ones we used in the war"? Dodge responded by building the Power Wagon. Virtually unchanged from its introduction in 1946 to when domestic sales ended in 1968, the Power Wagon is the exemplary four-wheel drive truck. This diecast is complete with towing package, winch and 1940s Havoline logo on the doors. The 1/25th scale replica features a diecast cab, bed, and chassis, as well as opening doors and butterfly-hinged hood with detailed engine compartment. Mini metal chains wrap around the working winch mounted on the front of the chassis. The highly detailed interior features a separate floor-mounted stick shift, low-gear selector, and functional steering wheel. CORGI 1/43 THORNYCROFT NIPPY - GWR DROPSIDE

The Great Western Railway was created by an Act of Parliament in the 1830s to provide a double tracked line from Bristol to London. Construction of the line started in 1836 at two locations; between Bristol and Bath, and Reading and London. 1935 was to see the Great Western make history by becoming the first British railway to celebrate 100 years of corporate existence. GWR was known to some as ‘God’s Wonderful Railway’, to others as the ‘Great Way Round’ (some of its earliest routes were not the most direct), and by some as the ‘Goes When Ready’ due to the casual way in which some of its branch lines were run. SIKU - LINDE H80 FORK LIFT TRUCK

The Linde H80 Fork Lift truck, in the usual 1/15th scale range, is a superb piece of kit and it will not look out of place alongside any other 1/50th scale models in your collection.

Siku have excelled themselves and produced a model coasting just a few pounds that is equal to those 'other' German promotionals which cost three or four times the price. Using their now stanard 'truck' wheels and tryres, which are pretty good for a toy, the Fork Lift is beautifully decorated and well put together.

Y23 - 1930 MACK 'AC' TANKER

Over the years, there have been many versions of the Mack type ‘AC’ as truck. 1991 saw the release of the second livery on the Mack ‘AC’ tanker, that of ‘Conoco’. Although this had a white tank and the red livery of the rest of the model was lighter than the ‘Texaco’ red, it proved to be no more popular than ‘Texaco’. The ‘Conoco’ was developed in the Macau factory, but the regular production run was carried out after production had been transfered to the factory on mainland China.

The Mack was one of the first models to have wheels and tryes base on those of the actual vehicle. The cab and chassis for tanker was made from the tooling that was used for the Mack truck. The ‘front’ end consisted of the bonnet and rear mounted radiator, the cab sides and roof, windscreen frame the cab doors, and the cab floor, steps and front mudguards. The tanker was a one-piece casting, which included the rear ‘cupboard’. Set onto a shallow-sided truck body, which included three discharge valves at the rare. Some ‘Conocos’ also appeared fitted with ‘plated’ wheels, this time with a light gold finish, while some others were of a darker gloss red. See more.

THE FODEN "C" TYPE STEAM WAGON

The Foden “C” type Steam Wagon having a nominal load capacity of 6 tons was a popular vehicle among companies transporting large and/or heavy loads. It was fast and economical with its 3 speeds which enable it to comfortably exceed the 25 m.p.h. speed limit of the time.

This power was put to good use by many companies with the addition of a trailer of 3 to 4 tons nominal load capacity.

One such company was Frazer and Frazer of Ipswich who used the Foden for their Furnishing and Warehousing business.

Machbox is a great company for these engines. It also comes with a trail and a roof for the trail and steam wagon. This is a great company and I thank them so much for bring back this history old the age of steam. It best to keep the trail connected to the steam wagon because it is finely to put back and take of.

CORGI - SCAMMELL CONSTRUCTOR - SIDDLE C COOKE

Siddle C Cooke was a County Durham-based transporting company which after selling out to the Tayford Group in 1964 saw Siddle's sons reverse his name to Elddis and set up a very succeessful caravan manufacturing business. The beefy Scammell is just the sort of truck Cooke needed during his company's hey-day. That creamy body colour must have a nightmare to keep clean, but with that fine red coachlining it cuts a handsome sight. 5000 are to be produced. --Model Collector.

CORGI - SCAMMELL SCARAB SHEETS DROPSIDE - BRITISH RAIL

The Scammell Scarab formed the backbone of the British Rail town parcels delivery service during the heyday of steam. The railway offered a nationwide goods delivery for everything from a packet of needles to an industrial transformer. The mechanical horse was first introduced in the 1930s to replace the outdated horse and dray. Tens of thousands of Scammell Scarabs were built between 1934 and 1967 but only about 40 survive today.
