GO BACK TO THE FUTURE WITH SUNSTAR

Back to the Future I version
Back to the Future II version

The way I figured it, if you’re gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style? –‘Doc’ Emmett L.Brown.

In 1985, teenager Marty Mcfly accidentally found himself behind the wheel of Doc Brown’s lastest invention, a super customized DeLorean retrofitted with a portable plutonium-powered nuclear reactor which sent him hurting through the veil of time 30 years into the past to help his parents fall in love. Doc explained to Marty that the car’s stainless-steel construction helps with flux dispersal, an aid necessary for time travelling. When he later travelled forward to the future, Doc took the DeLorean concept to all new heights. Modified and futurised with a simple hover conversion from the year 2015. Enabling the DeLorean to defy gravity as well as the time barrier, and later in the Wild West it a railway.
A trio of terrific models from SunStar accurately portray the amazing DeLoreans for the Back to the Future trilogy. These gorgeously detailed 1:18 cars show the original car and the modified high-wire-catching pole version from the first film, the wheel swiveling version from the second film and finally the railtracked version from the third episode. AN ANIMAL ADVENTURE SERIES: DAKTARIT

The original Corgi company never made another safari toy, but in 1998, new Corgi issued a commemorative Daktari set.No.07104 included the old 1/43 scale Land Rover, but the wheels are different, and the rear window in the cab is larger.

The black strips are bolder, as are the Wameru transfers, which are now on the pick-up sides. Included with the vehicle are very good models of Judy the chimp and Clarence with his glasses.

The box is particularly pleasing, with Daktari logo, Clarence artwork, publicity stills and photos of a Land Rover on Safari. Although it's not a limited edition, it may prove a little harder to find than its contemporaries. Buy it now.

DINKY TOYS - SPACE 1999 'EAGLE FREIGHTER'

Gerry Anderson provides the motivation behind this year's release, the 'Eagle Freighter' (no.360) and the 'Eagle Transporter' (no.359). They were identical space craft from the 'Space 1999' series, each version carrying a different load module and both to the same 1/110th scale which meant that models could be interchanged. A variety of colour schemes was available, and unboxed models could easily be cannibalised from other variants, so beware of unusual colours.

The Freighter version was originally released in metallic blue with a white load module but was later released in metallic blue with a white load module but was later released in white with a red load module. The mainframe on both variants was in white plastic strengthened by an unpainted steel strip, and four yellow plastic waste cannisters were winch operated.

DINKY TOYS - SPACE 1999 'EAGLE TRANSPORTER'

This is Eagle Transporter. (no.359) It was identical space craft from the 'Space 1999' series, each version carrying a different load module and both to the same 1/110th scale which meant that models could be interchanged. The transporter version was only ever available in metallic green with a white plastic capsule module. The main frame was as the Freighter version, in white plastic. All variants of either type had four large red plastic main engine nozzels and most had red four-way auxiliary direction nozzels on each outer pod; rarer versions had these moulded in yellow. A very accurate pair of models, especially if finished in white, the colour that all the Eagles in the series were finished in. See here.

THE GODFATHER'S 1940 CADILLAC LIMOUSINE

The Godfather's 1940 Cadillac Limousine by Jada Toys

A single rear and the divider behind the chauffeur’s seat identify Jada’s new 1:18 scale 1940 Cadillac Series 75 Fleetwood as the Five-Passenger Touring Imperial. Its big seven-piece diecast body is smooth and clean, with a glossy black finish that has traces of orange peel. The features that distinguished 1940 models – new grille, bumper with thin vertical guards, and fender-mounted turn signals, are all modeled accurately, however leave the hood closed; the V8 engine beneath it is completely chrome-plated. All four doors are hinged correctly and close with an audible snap. The all-plastic interior has neatly painted handles and cranks and legible instruments, but much of the dashboard trim, including wood-grain panels, hasn’t been reproduced. The nicely detailed Godfather figure in the rear seat+ is neatly and realistically painted, as is the standing driver whose gun hand is tucked inside his jacket. While Jada’s 1940 Cadillac Series 75 looks good and is well-made, I think they fitted it to the box. Wheelbase is 1:19 scale, while the length is more than 2 inches short at 1:21 scale and photos show that both the rear doors and rear fenders are too short. --SMI May 2007.

THE BEATLES REVOLVER DIE-CAST VEHICLES

Revolver is the seventh album by English rock band The Beatles, released on 5 August 1966. The album showcased a number of new stylistic developments which would become more pronounced on later albums. Many of the tracks on Revolver are marked by an electric guitar-rock sound, in contrast with their previous, folk-rock inspired Rubber Soul. It reached #1 on the UK chart for seven weeks and #1 on the U.S. chart for six weeks.

Revolver was released before the Beatles' last tour in August 1966, but they did not perform songs from the album live. Their reasoning for this was that many of the tracks on the album, for example "Tomorrow Never Knows", were too complex to perform with live instruments.

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG

Though there was once a real called Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Ian Fleming used the name in his children's story for a magical motor which would float and fly as well as travel by road, and for film a car was literally created for the title role. Its appearance is that of a tropical "touring carriage" of motoring's early years, with its brass radiator, Marchal headlights, outside handbreak and "snake" horn. The bonnet conceals a modern Ford engine however, and of course, Caratacus Potts' special modifications which include wings and stabilisers-are essential additions.

This is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang 14-Inch Electroplated Car Replica. One of the most gorgeous replicas made of the most famous car in the world! From the Classic 1968 fantasy musical comes this detailed replica of the title car, which derives it's odd name from it's unique motor sounds. Measuring 14" in length, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang fetures real rubber tires, removable wings, chrome exhaust pipes, chrome hood, and other chrome details.

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG : POPULAR FAMILY/POPULAR DIE CAST CAR

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang : Popular Family/Popular Die cast Car

By Youkonton Ratarasarn

Looking on the above picture, do not misunderstand that the car in this picture fly over our City of Bangkok. But the die cast car flew over it inside a box of Air Cargo. In the past years while the era had not had any tender from the Website as the present time, one of my friends who were one of a leading collector, he knew me and kindly bid it from Vectis Model Auction for me from England. I have to say thank you to him once again. It makes us to have the opportunity to see this real Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Die cast Car.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was created the output of this Die cast. It took a full year to projected filming in England in 1967 and projecting in 1968 by Walt Disney. This fiction related from Eian Flamings just the same man who had written the story of James Bond 007. This novel was printed in 1964. The leading actor was Dix Vann Dike, concerning a venturous family of Potts whose son was kidnapped for a ransom in France. They had to trace their son to return as soon as possible by using the miracle car to fly and running in the water.

Over 35 years, this cinema is still dominated a championship for hitting the children in 2003. A vote from the parents and around 8,000 children by surveying from renting VDO shops “Choices” in England. The announcer of Harcell Arding shop said, this cinema is complete with everything and exciting imagination. The performers were interesting, loving and scaring. The second favorite cinema was surveyed by E.T. the Extraterrestrial. It resulted the cinema of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang had snatched the championship in the end.

It seems to be that the leading actor of this cinema might be the magic car that could travel everywhere. The appearance is very colorful with flying wings. The rear of the car looked like a boat to run in the water. This was assembled against the present time by real assembly car approximately in 1910. One thing was clearly seen that the horn of the car in the cinema has ever used by Mercedes Benz in 1913 that had a dragon shape horn. At present, it was kept in the museum of Benz in Germany. The Rolls Royce in 1914 Wood Body, the rear of the car look alike a boat and snake shaped horn.

In the same year the cinema has been projected in 1968, Corgi, the leading assembled car of England had introduced car from the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to assemble the die cast for 16 cm. in length, with a good quality of materials. The color is proportionate with the beauty mainly the car spare parts were made from metal, front light was crystal, and the spoke was metal. It has a mechanic to collapse the big wings by using hand brake to operate the system. Besides this it has a figure from the cinema on the car painting by hand the same as on the above picture to stick to the Film for a beauty. The assembly of the car used a small amount of the quantity materials to be made. Therefore, the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to have favoritism with a very high price. At present, the die casting is regarded as a history.

Nearly almost 40 years, the cinema of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, always dominates the children along with the adults forever
