DINKY - JOHNSTON ROAD SWEEPER




Catalogue No.7 proclaimed this model New for 1971. It has a complicated mechanism and in Dinky's own words features 'Rotating horizontal and vertical brushes' and a 'Swivelling simulated suction pipe'. It was produced in the normal right hand drive format although the real thing often used left hand drive to enable the driver to better align along the nearside kerb.

This model first appeared with a white front grille, before being changes to silver, and is most commonly seen with an version was produced as a promotional model for the Johnston Company.
