MGB WHITE GOLD '50th ANNIVERSARY MODEL'
The MGB, launched in September 1962, was initially planned to have a product life of ten years. Instead, the MGB continued selling well, especially in its primary market of America, testament to the genius of MG stylist Don Hayter and the car’s enduring appeal. However, from September 1974, like many other cars of the same era, it was fitted with heavy Bayflex-90 Polyurethane bumpers and had its ride-height raised by 4cm in order to meet stringent US safety legislation.
