SCAMMELL MECHANICAL HORSE DRAY/BARRES-WATNEYS


The die-cast Corgi No.DG 199003 Scammell Mechanical Horse Dray/Barres-Watneys is a limited edition by Corgi Classic Ltd. England. It was produed in China, 2005. The trailer is 5.7 cm. The length of the waggon is 7 cm. When connecting is 10.2 cm. (1:76) It can be scaling as a replica of the locomotive train scale “00”

Scammell was a company to assemble the truck of England. It began to assemble a first truck in 1921 and began to assemble a three-wheel, a small truck by using a trailer to pull a waggon which was named it to be a “Horse Engine” or a "Mechanical Horse" instead of railing horse drawn truck in 1934. It was designed by Oliver North. It was very useful as a vehicle to send a medium size commodities. Its body is appropriate and convenience to drive in and out of a narrow lane in the city of England. It was preferable to use for a business in the harbour and the activity of the English train, including a various beverages business such as liquor, beer in order to send to various Pubs around the city of England, including to send beer to Watneys.


This car had a red bucket as an emblem of beer on the roof of the car. Mainly, these cars were almost kept in the museums, including “Mechanical Horse Club”. While Watney who was the one of the old former distiller began to produce beer from 1931 and it was a well-known in between 1960-1970.
